“City Lifestyle” (Sept 26th 2011) was their official UK debut single release; a punchy, angular guitar, energetic number screaming out the sounds of British indie rock n roll as they sing about their new home. The UK has embraced them with support from NME TV, NME online, Q radio & Scotland’s Jim Gellaty is an official fan. To top the UK love affair off their debut album to be released in 2012 has been produced by Tony Doogan (Belle & Sebastian, Carl Barat, Teenage Fanclub) after he produced their current single: “City Lifestyle”.Matinee have played live at many key London venues including Death Disco ( Alan McGee of Creation Records night) and the 100 Club. Their love of UK music shines through after support slots with Mystery Jets, The Futureheads, Razorlight, The Wombats, Pete and the Pirates and British Sea Power. Their follow up single “40 years old” is due out on March 26th 2012 and they will be playing London dates in support of this.
